Further comments

Employed by Messrs Wills & Co at Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide, for 40 years.
Parents both German.
Parl. rep, E. Yates, letter to Quinlan, 13 Aug 1924, p.16: explains that he sees her weekly, as known her for years, and is concerned that she was turned down in 1920 without reason. Her father naturalised. She's member of Salvation Army for many years. 'an innofensive personality but withal I am convinced a good citizen.'
Investigation shows father already naturalised in South Australia in 1884, so she is probably nat. as well. (p.13)
She then applies for a federal naturalisation on 20/10/24.

Police Report, p.11: character testemony from employer and Salvation Army; 'always considered herself as an Australian... The Salvation Army Commandant states that she is loyal to the British flag.' Has no private property. References pp.9-10
