Cover letter from R. F. Dempsey, Barrister and Solicitor, Perth, n.d., p.15: wants to know if husband was naturalised and 'is very infirm and aged 60 years and has been in Australia for 23 years without leaving it she is naturally desirous of being naturalized'
p.14, a 2nd cover letter 3 years late!!!, 3/10/23: states that she had been ill so unable to proceed until now. Can now confirrm husband had been naturralisd in Kalgoorlie.

Clear from pp.2-9 that they both confirmed naturalised and then a year later processed her.

Police Report, 2 May 1924, p.7: 'she was prosecuted for failing to register as an Alien and was imprisoned for 14 days.' But is also described as a 'good' character. Note at bottom clarifies: thought husband naturalised so did not register. 'She had not lived with he husband for years owing to his cruel treatment of her. She is a paid employee of th Women's Home at Fremantle and not an inmate.'
