p.5 application - she is French, as husband was French. Both parents identified as German.
Husband's application at NAA: A1, 1918/4635, W.F. William Francis de Brandt - Naturalization (1918). He was 'At present Not approved' despite years in British army incl South Africa and two war medals, as born in Vienna, Austria (his father was a political exile so they all moved to France in 1888, and he was naturalised there). On his form, he states that they had one child (p.7) a boy of 5 resident in Germany. Also marrried in Durban, 1911. apparently p.9, Austria considered him to be British. Looks like prepared to reconsider if more evidence confirming war record, etc. provided.
