Selina's ship was the SS Orient was built in 1879. She was a Rig, Iron Screw Steamer, 1,000 hp., Built In Glasgow. Tonnage 5,386g 3,259n., built by John Elder & Co. Dimensions 445.6 x 46.3 x 35.1. Orient Steam Navigation Co.Ltd., reg. Glasgow. First steamer designed for the Australian Service for mail, and was also the first to fulfill the Admiralty requirements for an auxilliary merchant cruiser in war.
Her fourth voyage was the one which Selina arrived in Australia in September 1882.
