Further comments

Letters attached regarding her right to naturalisation (her husband was naturalised after their marriage). but forms are still sent to her and she is advised to still apply, and does in fact receive her certificate of naturalisation.
Her ship the SS Orient, was an auxiliary barque with rig and four masts. The Orient was built by John Elder & Co., Glasgow in 1879 (5,386 tons). It was operated by the Orient Steam Navigation Co. (Orient Line) on the UK-Australia route. She made her maiden voyage in Nov 1879 between London and Melbourne via the Suez Canal.
Gertie is not sure of the day of her arrival in October 1891, so I have put 01.
