Police Report, W. J. Auckett, Katoomba, 26 July 1913: speaks Russian and 'still corresponding with her people'. Actually left Russia 20 years before 'and was only a girl and was travelling under the care of her cousin, Harris Orlensky, who held a passport from the Russian Authorities for them both to travel abroad. She went from Russia to England, where she lived 18 years previously to coming to this State.' Harris in USA. -- curious that she is investigated, and seems chiefly about confirming that she is Russian and is entitled to travel abroad [from note from AH to Police, 17 July 1913, p.5 - 'enquire whether the applicant has a passport from the Russian Authorities entitling her to travel abroad.'
