Police Report, p.2, 16 October 1914: employed in Hosiery Department of Grace Bros. in Sydney, from 14 July 1912 until 4 Feb 1913 and 'character was good'
Additional Police REport, pp.7-8, 1 October 1914: born in Germany, lived with mother until 16, then Genoa for 2 yrs., then Paris where engaged as governess by Paul Godel, 21 Due Desbordes, Valmore, Paris, to teaching children German - for 4 years. Then Senegal, then back to Paris, then Bavaria for holiday, then England for a year as nursery governess for Mrs Williams, Camberwell London, then Australia from 1912 at Grace Bros., then saw and advert and became servant. 'very respectable appearance, and is intelligent' but current employer absent in Sydney so can't currently check that.
