Further comments

29 Nov 1920, Hunt writes to Wonderley & Hall, Solicitors, Toowoomba, suggesting that they delay her application until the Nationality Bill 1920 comes into effect, so her nationality works abroad. Needs the pension.

Rejected in 1919 because of not being able to write English: ‘there is no power to grant any exemption.’ (Hunt to F Y Brennan, MLA, 29 May 1919). 45 yrs resident (1919).

Rejected on 7 Oct 1918 because enemy alien, and no special circumstances because of being illiterate (from Hunt).
