Police Report, 21 March 1917, p.11: 'she bears a good character, seems a very harmless simple old woman, whose naturalisation could not involve any risk in regard to her loyalty to the Empire, owing to her age and want of proper treatment she is not likely to live long, does not possess any property Real or personal, as. is in almost destitute circumstances... [p.8] Her only relation in Australia is a sister (Mrs. Dowe) whose death took place in the Mental Asylum, Goodna, a few days ago'
