Further comments

Memorandum, Foenander, 7/6/16, p.3: single. German. 63. Res 62 yrs. ‘From a communication addressed to Senator Keating by Mr. C. E. Thompson of Lauceston, it would appear that two of her married sisters had each a son in the A.I.F., one of whom was killed at Gallipoli… head cook at the Base Hospital, Launceston… freely contributed to patriotic requirements, and has taken an interest in red cross [sic] work’ according to the hospital matron – had to fire her a week before because of being unaturalised but all ‘officers, medical and otherwise’ wanted her naturalised so they could hire her back.
