‘Denmark, now Germany’, age 52, widow, Dec 1914 told not being proceeded with (husband naturalised in Queensland, but she now lives in Sydney), but April 1915 approved
Memorandum, 8 March 1915: originally thought she could not be treated as a Dane, but suggests the Minister now ‘let this case be treated as “special”’ and that is agreed by the minister, SM, 10/3/15. The difference is because her solicitor, S. Bloofield, Sydney, has clarified that Schlesweig was Danish when she was born, her parents were both Danish, and she married a Dane, and has never been a German subject, it’s just that where she was born is now German. --- classic Schleswig-Holstein confusion!
