Margaretha's ship "The City of Paris" was owned by the Inman Line house, on the Atlantic crossing. It was built by Tod and Macgregor, of Partick, Glasgow, Scotland, and was launched on December 1865. It was a steamship, with 2650 tonnage, length: 346 ft, beam 40 ft, and 3 masts. Post 1870 refit = 150 saloon and 400 steerage.
