Probably ship was the Princess Louise, which left Hamburg on 26th March 1849, via Rio De Janeiro, and arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia on 7th August 1849. The South Australian Register on Wednesday August 8th 1849 said this of the ship: The "Princess Louisa", 356 tons, Bohr, Master, 161 passengers. These were skilled urban professional immigrants, so-called "48-ers." They had left Germany after 1848 for political reasons.
