The South Australian Register, for Thursday November 17th 1853, says: Arrival: Wednesday November 16th, the barque Hermann, 236 tons, Kleingarn, Master, from Hamburg the 14th July 1853. There is an Anna Maria from Dresden on this ship, who is 16 years old, and her unmarried surname was Graunitz and her father was a wheelwright. she had a brother and sister younger than herself.
