Her ship the "Gellert" was 600 tons, Captain Fhlert, from Bremen, Germany 28th August 1847, arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia 20th December 1847. The South Australian Register of Wednesday 22nd December 1847, reports on the number of Passengers, also about the death of "Reverend Philip Oster who died at sea on 24th October 1847 - of the Lutheran church. There is also a letter attached to "Your Excellency" introducing the following: "The Present expedition comprises a party of 31 miners with their families, Farmers, shepherds, Mechanics and Agriculturist. And among the Baden passengers two architect, W. Wenzel who has been employed in Rebuilding city of Hamburg, and Mr. Geibert who was instrumental in completing the railway from Copenhagen to Rothschild. He wishes to be employed I a simular manner in South Australia and to lay before Y. E. his testaments and designs." Among the steerage passengers is listed a "Caroline Heinrich aged 3 years" There is no other child of this age, and she has the following family - her parents are Frederich and Eleanor both aged 32 years, and three other children aged 10, 8 and 5 years, besides Caroline aged 3 years. This is likely to be Caroline Grimm (nee Heinrich).
