Other information | Trying to find her dead husband's naturalisation papers in November 1914, but cannot. Letter to Secretary, DEA, 12 November 1914: 'I have searched his papers, but cannot find any papers to give you the information that you require. I am positive that he was naturalized, so assume that it was in Adelaide about 1885, or in Albany about 1891.' |
Told by Atlee Hunt, 23 February 1916, that she does not need to apply, as her husband was naturalised in Western Australia in 1892; 'his naturalization extends to you while you remain in that State.'
A previous letter from him on 24 November 1914 stated that her husband was naturalised in South Australia in 1882, and as she now lived in Western Australia 'you again revert to your original nationality i.e. German.' but that 'the naturalization of Germans is not being proceeded with at present' so her 'application will not be dealt with just now.'
