Hunt to Tiedemann, 1 February 1916: she paid fee for DEA to check if husband had ever been naturalised, but apaprently not: named Hermann John Tiedemann
Police Report, A. E. Arnold, Constable, Malvern, Victoria Police, 29 Feb 1916: interviewed her, and known her 'for several years'; resides with sister, who he has known for 10 years. 'have always found applicant + also her sister, very reputable women.' According to sisters, 'they are French descent, + have no German blood in them.' Lived in Victoria for 43 years. 'I have no hesitation in stating that applicant does not associate with Germans.'
Memorandum, 11/3/16 - Hunt recommends her to Minister, and GM writed 'Appd' on 13.3.16.
